In celebration of International Nurses Day, on May 12, 2021, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Berkeley volunteers joined the global M.T.O. efforts and donated PPEs and sweets to three local clinics and wellness centers: Berkeley Free Clinic, Oakland Healthcare and Wellness and West Oakland Health Council. These clinics provide health services to low or no income individuals and families in the East Bay area. M.T.O. Berkeley's donation consisted of 150 masks (produced by volunteers) and four dozen cupcakes divided between these three locations. The PPE’s were delivered in reusable bags in an effort to avoid waste and to be environmentally sustainable. The face masks included a flyer describing Tamarkoz® meditation and relaxation sessions available through the Tamarkoz® App and live on Instagram and Facebook. The healthcare teams at the clinics expressed their heartfelt gratitude for M.T.O.'s tribute to the brave and selfless nurses and healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly throughout the Covid 19 pandemic.
