On April 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2017, the members of the M.T.O. Sufi Association® held open houses and field trips at the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi Berkeley center for the students participating in the Tamarkoz® (Sufi meditation) classes at U.C. Berkeley. The program included an introduction to Sufism, the Sufi Masters, the history of the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism®, and the elements of the Khaneghah. The students had a chance to experience Tamarkoz and live zikr accompanied by daf, a traditional drum instrument. More than 60 students of U.C. Berkeley had the chance to visit the M.T.O. Berkeley center for the first time.
