On May 12, 2021, in honor of Eid-al-Fitr and International Nurses Day, M.T.O Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism, Orange County center donated 300 surgical gowns, 300 surgical caps, 100 shoe covers, and 110 care packages for the nurses. The care packages contained a coffee bottle, water bottle, snacks, personal hygiene items, and two face masks. The donation was made to Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center in Riverside. Councilmember Gaby Plascencia and Councilmember Jim Perry, from the City of Riverside and CEO of Parkview Hospital were also present for the donation. This was the 5th donation to Parkview Community Hospital during the past year in support of our health care providers.  At the last donation the hospital's CEO David Batista had requested shoe covers for the hospital staff and as such MTO volunteers produced 100 hand sewn shoe covers to add to this donation. The hospital staff were very grateful for M.T.O Shahmaghsoudi®’s generous donation, as well as the repeated and continuous support throughout the pandemic. The hospital staff were also informed about M.T.O Shahmaghsoudi®'s free online meditation and relaxation classes offered on Instagram at the Tamarkoz® App to help health care providers during these stressful times.
