On Sunday, April 23rd, 2017, the students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® held their annual Spring Interfaith Open House, in Franksville, Wisconsin. The main interfaith discussion was focused around the question: “Do we need religion for day-to-day life?” The seventy guests, which included heads of faiths, professors and students, were first welcomed to M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi by being informed about the etiquettes of the School of Islamic Sufism and given a brief introduction into Islamic Sufism, before having the opportunity to engage in dialogue with individuals from a variety of diverse faiths to discuss how our lives are affected by religion. After the discussion, attendees were invited to join in Sufi zikr, which they found very engaging. The evening came to an end with the guests enjoying a complimentary Persian dinner.
