The World Interfaith Harmony Week was established in 2010 by the United Nations. On February 4th, 2017, the Tri-City Interfaith Council, Alameda County Human Relations Commission, and 'Compassionate Fremont' hosted an event to celebrate this observance. The M.T.O. Sufi Association® was invited to participate by having a booth with information about Islamic Sufism and engaging in dialogue. The M.T.O. members brought traditional sweets to share with the other faith groups. The day was filled with small-circle conversations and breaking of bread amongst the 10 faith groups represented at the Niles Discovery Church.
