The Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater extended an invitation to the students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi®, School of Islamic Sufism® Chicago/Milwaukee center to attend a two-part event called the Milwaukee Intercultural Dialogue Dinner. The event, which extended from mid-January to the early February, included watching a performance of the play titled “Disgraced”, followed by an intercultural dialogue dinner to discuss the play. The intent of this event was to put forth the challenges different faiths experience in society today. The dinner involved the moderated conversations about themes of identity and faith found in the play. The participants were encouraged to share their own personal experiences and beliefs by answering questions provided to them. The event provided an opportunity to build bridges of understanding and to connect people of different faiths together. Students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi were among the 100 attendees who found this event both informative and eye-opening.
