On June 23, 2020, New Mexico State Senator Bill Tallman wrote a Legislative resolution that honored M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® for its donation and support during the Covid-19 pandemic. The resolution, signed by the president of the New Meixco Senate, Mary Kay Papen, celebrates the local New Mexico center for its donations of food and PPE to local healthcare professionals, as well as other community support M.T.O. Albuquerque has been providing since 2017.
