On October 29, 2020 to celebrate the holy occasion of the birthday of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad (Peace be upon him), students of M.T.O Shahmaghsoudi® Berkeley gave back to their community by donating PPE to the Family Matters Shelter. A representative of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, Emeryville Mayor Christian Patz, Oakland Councilmember Dan Kalb, and other community leaders attended the event and expressed their appreciation of M.T.O’s charity and service towards our community. The representative of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf presented M.T.O. Berkeley with a proclamation to honor their dedication to helping the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® donated 500 bags filled with handmade P.P.E. for children and adults, hand sanitizer bottles, snacks, and candies. Through these trying times, M.T.O. students will continue to give back to their local communities by providing food, supplies, P.P.E., and other donations to those most vulnerable across our communities and broader society.
