On October 29, 2020, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Vancouver Centre celebrated the birthday of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by giving back to the community. Volunteers prepared 1000 packages containing handmade children and adult size face masks along with handwritten notes and donated them to organizations throughout the Vancouver area, including the Burnaby Neighbourhood House, SHARE Family & Community Services Society, Soroptimists International of the Tricities, Canadian Mental Health Association of the North and West Vancouver Branch, Capilano Community Services Society, Parkgate Community Services Society, North Shore Neighbourhood House, Silver Harbour Centre, Hollyburn Family Services, Atira Women's Resource Society, and the Covenant House. The Prophet’s teachings of love and charity were practiced not only in Vancouver, but as a global initiative by M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Centres across the world.
