On September 4, 2020, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Vancouver Centre celebrated the 50th anniversary of Professor Nader Angha’s appointment as Sufi Master by giving back to the community. Volunteers prepared and donated 250 care packages containing children’s colouring books, handmade face masks and more to Children’s Organizations throughout Vancouver and Burnaby, including Burnaby Neighbourhood House South, Immigrant Services Society of BC, Mount Pleasant Family Centre Society, and the Indigenous HIPPY Program at Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. At donation sites, M.T.O. Volunteers were joined by Members of Parliament Peter Julian and Jenny Kwan, Members of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly Anne Kang and Raj Chouhan, and Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley. Coinciding with the eve of International Day of Charity, this celebration and global initiative was carried out in a total of 50 different cities across the world!
