On August 12, 2020, the Member of Legislative Assembly for Burnaby North, Ms. Janet Routledge spoke in the British Columbia Legislature about M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® 's Global COVID-19 relief efforts. MLA Routledge recognized the M.T.O. Vancouver Centre as an incredible neighbour and member of the community. She mentioned the free Tamarkoz® Meditation sessions being offered online and the Sufi Psychology Coping with COVID-19 online course. She thanked MTO for their continued efforts in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic which has affected communities worldwide, noting the recent Eid al-Adha celebration at the MTO Vancouver Centre where 500 care packages were distributed to children around the Vancouver Area.
