M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Berkeley honors Eid al-Adha by donating 1000 masks and 500 bags of school supplies to the West Oakland Health Council, Saint Vincent's Day Home, and other Community Organizations on July 31, 2020. Each bag of art supplies contained markers, crayons, a notebook, pencils, Play-Doh, and other art and craft items. Special guests on that day included Lynette Gibson McElhaney Oakland City Council Member, Shahidah Lacy Representative of Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, Preston DuFauchard Executive Director of West Oakland Health Council, Steve Gardner from the Council, and Kate Shaheed Executive Director of Saint Vincent's Day Home, each shared a few remarks in celebration and gratitude. Assemblymember Rob Bonta sent recorded video remarks that we played for the event.
