M.T.O. Vancouver Celebrates Eid al-Adha with Minister of Child Care and other Officials

M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Vancouver Celebrated Eid al-Adha, on July 31, 2020 by donating 500 care packages to children and family organizations around Metro Vancouver. The lovingly prepared care packages contained a mask, a 20 Piece School Supply Kit, a Bamboo Toothbrush, a Colouring Journal designed by MTO Students, and more.The donations to more than a dozen organizations including the Richmond Hospital Paediatric Unit, Soroptimist Tri Cities, Sources Women’s Shelter, Alexandra Neighbourhood Community House, Helping Spirit Lodge Society, Strathcona Community Centre , Ray-Cam Community Centre, East Vancouver Family Place, Singing Frog Preschool, Eagle’s Nest Preschool, and more were organized with the help of Provincial MLAs, Federal MPs, Mayors, and Various City officials. Representatives from the organizations receiving donations, Provincial MLAs Anne Kang, Raj Chouhan, Janet Routledge, Bowinn Ma, Teresa Wat, Katrina Chen, Mayor of Burnaby, Mike Hurley, and Burnaby City Councillors came to the MTO Vancouver Centre to accept the care packages. After speeches by an MTO Student, Minister of Child Care Katrina Chen and other officials, the Care Packages were loaded into vehicles to be delivered to the different organizations around Metro Vancouver.
