M.T.O. Dallas Celebrates Eid al-Adha By Serving the Community

  • Dallas, Texas
  • July 31, 2020
  • M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Dallas Center

M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Dallas celebrates one of the holiest days on the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha, by supporting 350 homeless children with care packages, 11 graduate students with food and essentials, and Parkland Hospital, Dallas County’s only public hospital, with 1,500 handmade PPE's. In Dallas, approximately 3000 children go to sleep every night without a home of their own and the number is rising due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  It is therefore important to not only support frontline professionals with PPEs but also help the youth who are the most vulnerable.  As part of this initiative, M.T.O. Dallas is supporting CitySquare TRAC, Promise House, and Vogel Alcove who provide services for homeless children and youth. The volunteers are also supporting graduate students in need at Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology.
