M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Houston has donated approximately 2000 essential items on July 31, 2020, including 280 pounds of non-perishable food and snacks, 200 face masks, and close to 400 hygiene products to youth treatment centers in the Houston community. Hold My Hand Residential Treatment Center serves girls of ages 12-17 who are in custody of Child Protective Services. Hold My Hand believes in helping children grow towards their potential by focusing on inner strengths. Kidz Safe Harbor Residential Treatment Center currently offers therapeutic programs that teach behavioral self-control to boys of ages 11-18. The staff expressed that the children were excited and grateful to receive these donations. In addition to the essentials that were donated, information about the Tamarkoz® meditation method and app was included for staff members to address anxious minds during this time of pandemic.
