M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Houston marked the end of the blessed month of Ramadan today by providing to those in need and celebrating local frontline heroes. Volunteers from the Houston M.T.O.® center delivered 155 boxes of essential non-perishable foods and bread to the kitchen at the Star of Hope Women and Family Development Center, which will provide hundreds of hearty meals for their residents. Additionally, volunteers visited the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center to donate 150 snack packages and 150 cloth face masks. A team of frontline doctors and nurses happily accepted the donations and shared with hospital staff and veteran patients in the waiting area, bringing a smile to their faces. In total, over 300 boxes containing more than 3,200 food items and 150 personal protective equipment (PPE) were donated today as M.T.O.® Houston continues its efforts in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
