The members of the M.T.O. Sufi Association® held a number of open houses and field trips for the students of the Tamarkoz® class at U.C. Berkeley. These involve a tour and introduction to the local Sufi Center in Berkeley, explanation of the Islamic calligraphy and other artistic elements of the Center, as well as first-hand experience with the Sufi practice of zikr with live music. Anywhere from 150-200 local university students visit this Center each year through this program.
