On Memorial Day, May 25, 2020, students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® - Phoenix provided 60 Persian food boxes for US veterans. Since 2001, the U.S. VETS organization has provided transitional and permanent housing daily and provides veteran families with financial assistance. The food boxes offered had a variety of chicken and beef kabobs with rice and salad. A delicious fruit bar dessert was offered with M.T.O. Flyer about Tamarkoz – a free app created by the school to help teach meditation and breathing techniques online to provide peace and tranquility during COVID-19.
