On May 7, 2020, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Orange County Center, in an attempt to help protect and support our local health care providers in the fight against Covid-19, donated 50 hand-sewn hospital isolation gowns, 50 plastic face shields, and 30 cloth masks to Hoag Pediatrics at Sand Canyon Medical Center in Irvine, California. The pediatricians at Hoag Pediatrics were very grateful and appreciated M.T.O.'s donation. One doctor came outside of the medical center to thank us and hand-carried many of the boxes into the building with one of the nurses. This doctor informed us that their supply of hospital gowns and face shields were very low and that they go through several gowns a day. We also provided the medical staff with information about free online resources and classes provided by M.T.O. to help with stress-relief and calming techniques in this difficult time.
