In honor of National Nurses Week in Canada and in response to COVID-19, Volunteers from the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Vancouver Centre delivered 130 care packages to healthcare facilities in the Greater Vancouver Area. Deliveries were made to Langley Memorial Hospital, Adanac Park Lodge, Eagle Ridge Hospital, and Abbotsford General Hospital. These individually prepared packages consisted of a tasty protein cookie snack, a thank you card featuring art by the centre’s children, youth, and volunteers, as well as information about the Tamarkoz® App to help support the hospital staff who are fighting COVID-19 at the frontlines. The healthcare professionals receiving the deliveries expressed their appreciation for the donation and were touched by the personalized art on the thank you cards.
