On November 11th, 2015, members of the M.T.O. Sufi Association® presented on Sufism and Islam during the Introduction to Islam class at Claremont Graduate University. We spoke to the class about the teachings and practical aspects of Islamic Sufism. In particular, we shared about the profound benefits of Tamarkoz® - the Sufi art and science of self-knowledge through concentration and meditation. Afterwards, pictures were shown of the beautiful M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® centers and the Islamic art that is displayed therein. The graduate students were engaged and asked questions of us about the Sufi Master and creative arts. Further, the classroom Professor explained to the students some of the Arabic words that are used as part of the Sufi practices, such as “Vajd,” “zikr” and “Tarighat.”
