On April 29, 2020, in an attempt to help protect and support our local health care providers in the fight against Covid-19, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Orange County Center donated 50 hand-sewn hospital isolation gowns and 150 hand-made plastic face shields to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. The hospital staff were very grateful and informed us they go through approximately 200 face shields per week. They humbly asked us if we could also sew hospital isolation caps for their physicians and nurses which we gladly agreed. It was amazing to see how gracious and appreciative they were given the fact that they are the ones making the biggest sacrifice in this fight. We also provided the hospital staff with flyers with information on free online resources and classes provided by M.T.O. to help with stress relief and calming techniques in this difficult time.
