On April 28, 2020, students from the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Sacramento center delivered groceries to Russell Manor, a housing facility in Sacramento for low-income seniors. There were 65 bags; one for each housing unit at Russell Manor. Each bag included paper towels, toilet paper, and a variety of non-perishable food items. Russell Manor is part of Mercy Housing, which provides affordable housing across the nation for communities in need. Their staff were grateful for our efforts to help their seniors during this difficult time. We hope to continue working with Mercy Housing to help us connect to other groups in need in the Sacramento area.
