On April 20, 2020, in support of men and women in the front line of combat with COVID-19, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® in San Diego organized a food/healthy snack drive to support three local hospitals overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients. The Sharp, Scripps and Rady Hospitals were among the first health care providers designated for M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi's food drive in the central San Diego area.

The demanding schedules and sacrifices of these doctors and nurses has been a key factor in keeping our community safe while their courage and selflessness has touched us all. They have greeted us with smiles and we have received heart-felt responses from each group. M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi in San Diego is grateful of this rare opportunity and hopes to continue supporting other hospitals, clinics and shelters where the need is felt the most.
