On March 5, 2020, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® attended the Los Angeles Police Department Chief’s Muslim Community Forum. This was an opportunity for community leaders to express community concerns directly to Chief Michel R. Moore. During this event, Chief Moore assured that the Los Angeles Police Department is dedicated to protecting and serving the diverse communities. At this event, leaders from LAPD and Los Angeles City counsel had the opportunity to discuss important issues such as hate crimes, homelessness, and the importance of community involvement in resolving existing problems in Los Angeles. Further, while having the opportunity to discuss their concerns, community leaders also had the opportunity to meet and greet each other.
