On December 2, 2019, M.T.O. Sufi Association® attended the monthly meeting of the Pacific Beach Interfaith Coalition, at the Seventh Church of Christ Scientist in San Diego, CA. During this meeting, faith leaders from different faith communities discussed ideas on learning more about each other’s faiths in a deeper level, and suggested monthly field trips to one another’s faith centers in order to experience different religious practices hands on, in order to better know one another. Among the guests present at this meeting, was Mr. Steve Slocum, peace activist and the author of highly acclaimed, “Why Do They Hate Us? Making Peace with the Muslim World”. Mr. Slocomb reached out to M.T.O. Sufi Association about Islamic Sufism and suggested future discussions and collaborations to learn more about M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism®.
