On November 19, 2019, M.T.O. Sufi Association® was invited to give a presentation on Islamic Sufism for the freshman World Religion class at the Grauer High School in Encinitas, CA. As of May 2019, M.T.O. Sufi Association has been invited to be the permanent returning guest speaker on Sufism at this school. During the first part of this presentation, members of M.T.O. gave a brief overview of the history of Islamic Sufism and M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism®, and shared the teachings of Sufi Master, Hazrat Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha on the subject of “Sufism, Path of Self-Knowledge” with the audience. In the second part, Sufi practices such as Tamarkoz®, Movazeneh®, and Zikr were introduced to the students. Images of several Khaneghas (M.T.O. Centers) and their activities were shared, and videos of Zikr (Sufi Chanting), Zendeh Delan®, and the upcoming Tamarkoz® App were shared with the class. The instructor of the course has suggested the arrangement of a student field trip to the M.T.O. Los Angeles center in the next school year.
