On August 18, 2019, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® in San Diego hosted “Sufism, the Art of Self-Knowledge” - a presentation on Islamic Sufism along with a Tamarkoz® and Movazeneh® workshop in honor of Global Interfaith Week. The attendees included religious leaders from various faith organizations, interfaith leaders and members, prominent academic members of the city, including the president of the California Institute for Human Science, as well as the president and several faculty members of the Grauer School. The program began with an informative presentation on Islamic Sufism and its history, followed by an engaging Q&A segment. In the second part of the program, guests were invited to enjoy a one hour Tamarkoz and Movazeneh workshop. Many guests reported interesting, enjoyable and calming results from their very first Tamarkoz experience! The event ended with attendees viewing Sufi calligraphy artworks, visiting the M.T.O. book table, while mingling and enjoying refreshments. The guests expressed much joy and gratitude from learning about M.T.O. and experiencing Tamarkoz, and requested to be notified of future events and opportunities for collaboration.
