On February 10, 2019, members of the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® participated in an interfaith concert in celebration of the World Interfaith Harmony Week which was held in Christ the King Sanctuary in Pleasant Hill, California. The celebration was organized by the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County in California and different faith groups attended and participated to present their music and songs of their faiths in this program. M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism, as one of the members of the council, participated in this event by sharing an introduction about the origin and history of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism, the reality of the message of Islamic Sufism and introducing the meaning of Zikr and its significance in Sufism. We then shared the Zikr “la ilaha illa Allah” (there is no other but God) with poem from the book Ghazaliat by Hazrat Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha. During the practice of Zikr our hearts rejoiced in remembrance of God, ".. Verily in remembrance of God do hearts find rest" (Holy Quran 13-28). At the end of the program, individuals had an opportunity to know each other and have a dialogue.
