On February 13, 2019, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® in Atlanta held an event titled “Unbound Love” at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech University) in Atlanta, Georgia. Among the attendees were professors, PhD, graduate, and undergraduate students. The program consisted of Introduction to Sufism, two Zikrs, poetry reading, perspectives on “Peace”, and “Unbound Love”. The program ended with a prayer from the book “Sufism and Knowledge”, following by a period for Q&A and refreshments. While enjoying Persian gourmet refreshments, the audience were very engaged and asked many questions to further their understanding of Sufism and its practices. The audience enjoyed the Zikr performance so much that they requested a third Zikr. The university sponsors of the event expressed their gratitude for the event. Based on feedback received from the students, they thought the program was very successful. They also were impressed by how interactive the program was.
