On November 11, 2018, students of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® participated in the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County Annual Meeting in Lafayette, California. The meeting was hosted by Temple Isaiah and individuals from various faith groups attended this gathering. The mission of this council is to support religious communities in order to create unity and understanding among different faith groups. The council consists of 108 faith organizations from various faith backgrounds and is a Cooperation Circle of the United Religions Initiative. During this meeting, the presenters spoke about the mission of the council and the past successful interfaith events and programs during the year of 2018. Many individuals from different faith backgrounds received recognition for their involvement in interfaith activities and cooperation. This meeting became an inspiration to continue the great work of interfaith understanding and activities in the year ahead. In this annual meeting, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® was selected as an Elected Council Board Member of the Interfaith Council of Contra Costa County. We are so inspired to begin our interfaith work in unity with other members of the council and to come together with topics such as love, compassion, peace, unity and experience renewal, love and freedom in our hearts.
