On November 11, 2018, members of M.T.O. Sufi Association® attended and spoke at the Loyola Marymount University & Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice’s event, “Our Muslim Neighbors.” Various Muslim Americans from different professions, ethnicities, ages and genders gave short presentations on being a Muslim in the community, and the various misconceptions of Islam and Muslims in America. The attendees also consisted of various ages, genders, ethnicities, and religions, and were able to walk away with a better understanding of the principles of Islam, their Muslim neighbors, and eliminating any misconceptions they may have had.
