On November 24 2018, the youth and young adults of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® held the Vancouver centre’s first ever interfaith event. The event had guests 15-35 years of age from various backgrounds and religious beliefs to discuss the topic of peace. The program included an introduction to M.T.O., a roundtable discussion that created thought-provoking dialogue, brainstorming, a large group-sharing session, the Sufi perspective on Peace based on the teachings of Hazrat Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha, and a group Zekr. After the program, guests shared further discussion over refreshments. There were comments on the engaging dialogue, energy of the centre, as well as gratitude to M.T.O. for hosting the interfaith session.
