On June 2, 2018, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Dallas hosted an Interfaith Iftar dinner. Four faith leaders from the cities of Dallas, Plano, and Frisco, as well as the Plano multicultural roundtable, Frisco Police Department, and other residents in the area participated in the event. The program began with a welcome and introduction to the history of the School of Islamic Sufism®, followed by the Sufi perspective on fasting. Then, the leaders from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Masjid Al-Islam, Preston Meadow Lutheran Church, and a pastor emeritus presented their views on fasting and their respective practices. Next, guests observed and participated in the practice of Zikr, which was followed by a tour of the center and dinner. Before and after dinner, prayers were recited by various faith representatives.
