On April 12-15, 2018, the Sufi Psychology Association® (SPA) presented at the 2018 Conference on Medicine and Religion. This annual conference took place at the historic St. Louis Union Station Hotel and was attended by over 200 educators, healthcare providers, and clergymen. SPA had a table displaying publications and presented on topics such as “Returning the Soul to Psychology, an Islamic Sufi Perspective”, “Spiritual Death vs. Biological Death and its Aftermath in Islamic Sufism” and “Holistic Healing: An Islamic Sufi Perspective”. SPA and other attendees discussed religion and healing and ways to collaborate and learn from one another.
