On December 3, 2017, members of M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Los Angeles were invited by Kevin Taylor, District Director for Senator Henry Stern, to attend the event “Homelessness Interfaith Community Action", hosted by the Congregation Or Ami in partnership with Senator Henry Stern and Many Mansions L.A. Family Housing. Senator Stern gave a speech recognizing all of the different faiths in attendance, and recognized M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi for its efforts and contribution to the community. All groups then toured three different locations which are permanent housing for former homeless families, and were given the opportunity to meet and hear from those individuals whose lives have been transformed by permanent supportive housing.
