On Tuesday, April 28th, Thursday, April 30th, and Friday, May 1st, 2015, the members of the M.T.O. Sufi Association® held open houses and field trips at the Berkeley Sufi center for the students participating in the Tamarkoz® (Sufi meditation) classes at U.C. Berkeley. The program included an introduction to Sufism, the Sufi Masters, the history of the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism®, and the elements of the Khaneghah. The students had a chance to experience Tamarkoz and live zikr accompanied by daf, a traditional drum instrument. More than 80 students of U.C. Berkeley had the chance to visit a Sufi Center for the first time.
