On October 15, 2017, the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Chicago-Milwaukee center members were invited to attend a program at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. A play titled "The Who & The What" was shown, which involved concepts of Identity and Religion, particularly in Islam. Following the showing was an Interfaith discussion called "Contemporary Women in Religion", which consisted of a panel of five women, including one of the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® students. The panel took turns answering the following question: "In the play, the main character struggles to reconcile her identity as a woman with conceptions of womanhood in her religion. Within your faith journey did you ever feel any version of that kind of struggle? Do you feel as though your womanhood is important to you as a person of faith?" In her response, the panel representative from M.T.O. emphasized the differentiation between Religion and culture.
