On September 10, 2017, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® in Los Angeles participated in the first annual San Fernando Valley Interfaith Solidarity March in commemoration of Patriot Day and in hopes of coming together to celebrate and promote our common humanity. Catholics, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and more united to reject violence, hate, and bigotry and to show their solidarity not just in times of disaster, but always. M.T.O. attendees helped to set up for the event, and during the march held posters that stated verse 84 from Chapter 3 of the Holy Qur’an: "Say we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes. And in what is given to Moses, Jesus and the prophets from their lord. We make no distinction between one and another among them and to God we bow our will." Several people expressed their appreciation for the beautiful verse and asked if they could hold M.T.O.’s posters during the march.
