The M.T.O. Sufi Association®, the Christian Science Organization of Berkeley, the Holy Hill Interfaith Coalition, and the Rotary Club of Berkeley hosted an interactive banquet to create a safe space in which our different faith communities in the Bay Area can discuss the diverse cultures, religions and history in the Middle East. The event aimed to spark learning and honest dialogue about the climate surrounding the region and to help plant the seed of peace in our own homes, communities and spheres of influence. Together participants decided on rules and topics for dialogue and organized how to sustain the outcome of our collaboration, such as making a permanent space for such discussions.
