M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® of Los Angeles collected large numbers of canned goods, new toys and blankets for children in need and the homeless for Councilmember Bob Blumenfield's December 2016 Holiday Drive. Councilmember Blumenfield represents the district in which M.T.O. is located and as part of the community, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® was able to greatly contribute to the collection of the necessary items. The Councilmember's staff were pleasantly surprised and overcome with emotions when the large van filled with items that M.T.O. had collected were delivered to the district office. They were very appreciative of the generous donations and said these items will help so many people in the community. M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® will be organizing further collection drives throughout the coming year.
