On December 17th, 2016, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® of Los Angeles held a Winter Solstice Kids Event. Over 20 kids participated in a fun-filled afternoon where they shared lunch, got to know each other better by playing ice breaker games and decorated cookies. They also exercised their artistic and creative skills by decorating their own mosaics that they could design, create, and take home as a memento of the day. Lastly, the kids were taken inside of khaneghah, where they played musical instruments and practiced zikr. The kids had an amazing time and enjoyed their day at the M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Los Angeles center. Their parents were also very appreciative of the event and loved seeing how much their children loved all the activities. Both the parents and the kids are eagerly anticipating the next ‘Kids Day’ event!
