On January 20, 2024, M.T.O. Dallas launched its inaugural sustainability seminar for juniors and teens to celebrate the International Day of Education. This marked the beginning of a series of educational programs aimed at inspiring a deeper appreciation and understanding of the principles of sustainability. These programs aim to equip our youth with the necessary knowledge and tools to impact our shared future positively. Guest speaker Bryan Beck, professor of Geology and Environmental Science and member of the Blackland Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, highlighted the importance of the environment and how all life on Earth depends on natural resources such as food, water, plants, and minerals. He reminded us that sustainability means that we must interact with the environment to ensure enough resources are left for future generations. M.T.O. Dallas is committed to providing a platform for youth to learn and engage with the community, thus empowering them to contribute positively to society.
