On September 10, 2022, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Vancouver Sustainability Volunteers were invited to participate in a planting event hosted by the Cariboo Heights Forest Preservation Society, a local environmental organization and community who MTO Sustainability collaborated with for World Rainforest Day in 2021. At this event, volunteers helped with planting native pollinator-friendly plant species, participated in an interactive and informative game about pollinators, and connected with community members. The group is invited back for a follow-up event where volunteers can learn more about the forest and organization, participate in creating plant-markers and celebrate the planted area with the community and they look forward to attending and building on their relationships.
