On March 18, 2022, in celebration of the International Day of Nowruz, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Dallas hosted eight local charity organizations who have continuously served the public throughout the pandemic. The Honorable Texas Representative Carl Sherman, the Honorable Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney, and other dignitaries were in attendance to recognize M.T.O.’s local and global charitable efforts during the pandemic. The attending organizations thanked M.T.O. for providing PPE and volunteering during the difficult times of the pandemic. The guests were given a presentation on Nowruz and the “Haft-seen“ as well as a tour of the M.T.O. center. The following day, the volunteers performed live music and provided care packages to Magnolia Assisted Living Center in Frisco. The seniors and staff had smiles on their faces listening to the traditional music and asked M.T.O. to revisit in the future.
