  • August 27, 2016
  • M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Los Angeles Center

M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® in Los Angeles hosted an interfaith meeting for Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti’s “Welcome Home” project for the unsheltered. Mayor Garcetti's West Valley Representative joined the meeting along with members from the Emerson Unitarian Universalist, First United Methodist Church of Reseda, and the Islamic Society of West Valley in Canoga Park. Information about the city's resources for the homeless were provided, and questions were addressed about the city's efforts in helping the homeless, otherwise known as the unsheltered. Attendees were motivated to ask their congregation to collect items for the Welcome Baskets for the formerly unsheltered who will move into homes. M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Los Angeles center is a designated location for the drop off of the Welcome Home Baskets during specific dates and times.
