On February 8th, 2015, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® in Houston held its first Open House. The guest list included local religious figures, medical professionals, a TV news reporter, as well as professors from distinguished universities around Houston with backgrounds in philosophy, political science, and religious studies. M.T.O. students introduced them to the fundamental teachings of Sufism, gave a guided tour of the buildings’ art and architecture, conducted zikr, and showed clips from M.T.O. lectures and events. The overall goal was to shed light on the teachings of Islamic Sufism.
