On May 14, 2022, M.T.O. Shahamaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® held a grand cross-cultural, interfaith, artistic, and musical event titled: Beloved’s Garden of Oneness with the aim of promoting peace, love, unity, and harmony in the community.

Taking place during the bi-monthly art night of the city of Encinitas, while playing as the grand opening of the Oneness Art Exhibition, this 4-hour event welcomed around 700 guests and visitors all through the evening. Several talented artists, musicians, performers, interfaith workers, and leaders joined together to collectively present the message of unity and oneness, through 28 different acts and presentations. Performers included award winning musicians, vocalists, and dancers from various cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds as well as M.T.O. musicians. This was a global event, with some of the performers and attendees coming from locations as far as Canada, Boston, and Northern California.

The crowd was moved by every performance, many standing ovations were given and as the evening progressed, the ambiance and the atmosphere of the room became increasingly joyful, loving, and hopeful. Faces of the audience were glowing with smiles and tens of emails and text messages of gratitude, amazement and admiration began pouring in shortly after the event.

A warm and heartfelt speech by the mayor of Encinitas, Mayor Catherine S. Blakespear as well as the first time ever exhibition of MTO’s “Oneness Community collaborative Public Art sculpture” embellished with over 900 messages from the public, were among some of the highlights of evening. Through M.T.O. volunteer’s loving effort of community building, the performers, and the audience, collectively embraced and shared an evening of connection as members of one human family and left the event, carrying with them the experience of Oneness from a new dimension.
