On February 4, 2022, the Village at Sugarland Assisted Living & Memory Care facility received donations from M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® Houston in celebration of the birthday of Professor Sadegh Angha. The donations included over 300 items of PPE (face masks, face shields, medical gowns) that were made by hand by M.T.O. volunteers, as well as other hygiene products including hand sanitizer, soap, and antibacterial wipes. The Village at Sugarland currently serves 40 residents who will benefit from these donations. Each staff member also received a gift of a hand-sewn face mask and snacks to thank them for their continuous efforts during this difficult time of ongoing pandemic. Included in the packages was information about the Tamarkoz® app, which offers Sufi meditation sessions in 10 different languages.
