On November 20, 2021, M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi® School of Islamic Sufism® Berkeley celebrated World Children’s Day with a donation of much needed PPE and necessities such as school supplies, hats, gloves and socks to five organizations: Family Matters Shelter, Crossroads: Emergency Housing, Matilda Cleveland Transitional Housing, and Building Futures: Midway and San Leandro Shelters, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland. All together more than 12,000 items were donated including children and adult masks, school supplies, clothing, diapers, and wipes. The face masks also included a flyer detailing meditation and relaxation sessions available through the Tamarkoz® App and live on Instagram and Facebook. The recipients of the donated items expressed their heartfelt appreciation of M.T.O. for supporting their mission to help some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
